According to a government orders, Mukhwinder Singh Chinna will be the new Ferozepur IG.

The probe agency carried out searches at Dhillon’s house in Patiala and his official residence in Ferozepur on Friday after the middleman, Ashok Goyal, named the officer during interrogation.

The CBI also questioned Dhillon at his residence. The action was taken on the complaint of a retired SSP, vigilance bureau, Patiala, Shiv Kumar Sharma, who alleged that he was being falsely implicated in a case registered against him for which an SIT was formed by Dhillon.

Sharma said IG Dhillon had made him the main accused in a case involving torture of patwari Mohan Singh. Sharma was earlier absolved of these charges, but after an inquiry, Dhillon renamed him in the case.

Sharma, who is out on interim bail, alleged that Dhillon demanded bribe for diluting the case.
