Dera Buchho is an influential dera in the Malwa region and Captain’s ancestors were also closely attached with the dera. Captain is also known for his routine visits to the dera, even when there was is political purpose. The dera head specifically referred to the ‘mistakes’ of Amarinder’s ancestors. Baba ended the conversation with the Captain on the assurance that the dera was always with him.

Amarinder declined to make any political comment on the occasion and only said that he was born with the blessings of Baba Nand Singh and was here for the dera’s blessings before starting his campaign. Both also had a closed-door meeting and then had ‘Langar’ together. The Captain spent more than one hour at the dera.
