The AIT warned of action against those who failed to do so, under the Punjab Apartment and Development Act, 1995.

AIT chairman Sandeep Rishi said the government policy to regularise unauthorised colonies, plots and houses was a golden chance for their owners. The forms for legalising colonies and plots falling within the limits of Amritsar Developmental Authority (ADA) could be obtained from the offices of ADA and PUDA Bhawan on any working day, Rishi added.

"The applicants are required to submit the applications, along with requisite documents and prescribed fees within 60 days of the notification," he said. Rishi added that special help desks have been set up for this purpose.
