ASI dies under mysterious circumstances
An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) deputed with the anti-human trafficking wing of the Ludhiana police commissionerate died under mysterious circumstances on Sunday. He has allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his house in Lalton Kalan on Saturday late and was rushed to a private hospital.

An assistant sub-inspector (ASI) deputed with the anti-human trafficking wing of the Ludhiana police commissionerate died under mysterious circumstances on Sunday. He has allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his house in Lalton Kalan on Saturday late and was rushed to a private hospital.
The Sadar police have sent the body to the civil hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The deceased Harvinder Singh (40) was mentally upset over some issues from the past few days.
Inspector Jatinder Jit Singh, station house officer of the Sadar police station, said the viscera of the deceased had been sent for chemical examination to the medical laboratory in Kharar. The police would take appropriate action according to the viscera report.
