Assistant professor gets Commonwealth fellowship

Assistant professor Mohamad Yusuf from the department of chemistry of Punjabi University for his project "Novel Automated Synthesis of Heterocycles using Microwave and Flow Chemistry", has been awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Academic Fellowship-2014 by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom, London.

Assistant professor Mohamad Yusuf from the department of chemistry of Punjabi University for his project "Novel Automated Synthesis of Heterocycles using Microwave and Flow Chemistry", has been awarded the prestigious Commonwealth Academic Fellowship-2014 by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the United Kingdom, London.

Yusuf is the only scientist from India who is awarded this fellowship for 2014 in the discipline of organic chemistry. He worked with Mark C Bagley, senior professor of organic chemistry, department of chemistry, school of life sciences, University of Sussex, Brighton of the United Kingdom during his three-month visit to the university.
