Vidushi Rawat, 24, an assistant manager in the Axis Bank here was crushed to death under a speeding private bus at Basti Peer Daad road on Friday morning. The bus carried the name of Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, on it.
Vidushi was going to the bank branch in Athola village on the Kapurthala road on her Activa scooter when the bus hit the scooter after which she fell on the road and her head was crushed under the wheels of the bus.
After the incident, people gathered there and apprehended the bus driver Sukhbir Singh. Later, assistant commissioner of police (ACP west) Dalveer Singh Buttar and Basti Bawa Khel SHO Gurpreet Singh arrived there and arrested Sukhbir.
