Badal approves Rs 100 cr projects for Sirhind, Fatehgarh Sahib

Projects involving a total expenditure of Rs 100 crore have been approved by Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal for Sirhind and Fatehgarh Sahib, said Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) general secretary and former MP Prem Singh Chandumajra at a press conference today.

Projects involving a total expenditure of Rs 100 crore have been approved by Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal for Sirhind and Fatehgarh Sahib, said Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) general secretary and former MP Prem Singh Chandumajra at a press conference on Sunday.

Badal gave the nod at a recent meeting to take stock of development works in these areas, he said.

Giving details of these projects, the former MP said the chief minister approved a Rs 30 crore project for cleaning drinking water and laying sewerage in all wards of Sirhind and Fatehgarh Sahib and outer colonies. Chandumajra said that a Rs 13 crore project had been approved for strengthening local power and infrastructure with the help of which uninterrupted power supply would be provided in all wards and colonies of the town.
