The police on Thursday found six balloons, believed to have flown in from Pakistan, from Marhimegha village, 10km from the Indo-Pak border, throwing cops into a tizzy.
Two slips with text written in Urdu were affixed on the balloons, police officials said.
Sources said police and intelligence agencies, yet to come to terms after the Dinanagar terror attack, were alarmed by the recovery of the balloons.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Manmohan Sharma, however, said the incident was “nothing serious” and that attached slip contained only “some names”.
He added that the balloons and the slip have been handed over to the intelligence wing to further investigate the matter.
