"It is really painful to wait for our minister for hours only to find he is not arriving. We were very eager to meet him. We were informed on Friday through local conveners that Mann sahab will come on Saturday. But his Facebook page suggests he is not coming," said one of the supporters.

As the party did not perform well in the recently held by-elections in the state, Jitender Garg, who looks after party affairs in Baretta (Mansa), did not fall short of criticising his own party over the loss of connect with ground workers. "I am not here to praise our state convener but to draw his attention towards the fact that the party seems to have lost the plot completely. After an emphatic victory in the Delhi assembly elections, the party has lost its connect with the workers in the state," he said.

Chotepur assured party members that all efforts would be made to ensure that honest and credible members are entrusted with major responsibilities. "We will make sure the party doesn't fall in the same pit of nepotism as SAD and Congress. Relatives and family members of our workers will not be entitled to have any privileges. SAD and Congress are equally responsible for all the miseries which our prosperous state is facing today."

Responding to a query about the infighting in the party Singh said, "Rift is always there and we have to work together to reduce it."
