Brar loyalist Manjeet Jalbuti returns to Congress

Manjeet Singh Jalbuti, a long-time Congressman, who left the party along with Jagmeet Brar, returned to the party fold on Sunday.

Accompanied by Punjab Congress Legislature Party leader Charanjit Singh Channi and party’s state unit vice-president Kewal Singh Dhillon, Jalbuti met the PCC chief Captain Amarinder Singh and Congress in-charge for Punjab Asha Kumari expressing his confidence in party leadership.

Jalbuti regretted that Brar had taken a suicidal step that would only damage his political career.

Welcoming Jalbuti back into the party, Amarinder said: “This was a positive development and a message to all the right thinking people that every sincere and committed Congressmen should burry their individual differences in the interest of the party and the state.”
