BSF seizes Rs 13.88 lakh in fake currency

The Border Security Force has seized fake currency worth Rs 13.88 lakhs along the Indo-Pak border on Sunday. The BSF authorities claimed that around 7.45 on Sunday, a patrolling team of Mahwa border observational post spotted five packets in an agricultural field and when checked fake Indian currency notes in the denomination of Rs 1,000 and Rs 500 totaling Rs 13.88 lakh were recovered.

In 2013 so far, the BSF has seized 35-kg heroin and Rs 25 lakh in fake currency from along the border.
