The team comprising members of the planning commission, central water commission, chairman of the central water board and experts will visit the water-logged areas of the state for three days from July one, he said.
Punjab irrigation minister Janmeja Singh Sekhon and chief enginer drainage and irrigation department would also visit affected areas of Bathinda, Muktsar, Fazilka and Faridkot.
The team will recommend to the planning commission the extent of special package required to get rid of the problem of water-logging, he said.
Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal had highlighted the problem of water-logging in these districts with Ramesh who later took up the matter with the planning commission.
