CICU, MC holds camp to collect property tax from industrialists.

A special camp for collecting property tax was held at Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU) complex at Focal Point here on Monday. Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana, in collaboration with CICU had organsied the camp to facilitate industrialists of Phase 1 to Phase 8 and to collect property tax from them.

Avtar Singh, general secretary of CICU, appreciated the state government for revising the collector rate and for providing separate category for industrial property reducing the rate of property tax from 3% to 1.5% for self-occupied industrial properties.

He said the government's move has provided relief to industrialists to a great extent. Total 272 applications were received by the MC officials on Monday. The camp would continue on Tuesday as well.
