CMCH appeals for help to patient who lost feet in accident with train

Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) has appealed for help to a patient whose feet were amputated in an accident with a train recently at Ludhiana railway station. Subhash, 36, is undergoing treatment at CMCH, but his family is unable to afford the cost.

Dr HS Bedi of CMCH said: “In the accident, Subhash from Islam Ganj also got his head injury and is comatose. He was managed ably by the doctors in the ICU. He has undergone a major orthopaedic surgery, received multiple blood product transfusions, has undergone dialysis, and is on the ventilator. His family is unable to pay for his treatment.”

Dr Bedi said: “Subhash is in dire need of financial help. Donations may please be sent to: the medical superintendent, Christian Medical College and Hospital, Brown Road, Ludhiana. The donations may be made in favour of “CMC Hospital, Ludhiana” with - for Subhash - written at the back.
