CMCH appeals for help to patient who lost feet in accident with train

Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) has appealed for help to a patient whose feet were amputated in an accident with a train recently at Ludhiana railway station. Subhash, 36, is undergoing treatment at CMCH, but his family is unable to afford the cost.

Christian Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) has appealed for help to a patient whose feet were amputated in an accident with a train recently at Ludhiana railway station.

Subhash, 36, is undergoing treatment at CMCH, but his family is unable to afford the cost.

Dr HS Bedi of CMCH said: “In the accident, Subhash from Islam Ganj also got his head injury and is comatose. He was managed ably by the doctors in the ICU. He has undergone a major orthopaedic surgery, received multiple blood product transfusions, has undergone dialysis, and is on the ventilator. His family is unable to pay for his treatment.”

Dr Bedi said: “Subhash is in dire need of financial help. Donations may please be sent to: the medical superintendent, Christian Medical College and Hospital, Brown Road, Ludhiana. The donations may be made in favour of “CMC Hospital, Ludhiana” with - for Subhash - written at the back.
