The Nation Commission for Scheduled Castes has asked the Moga administration to ensure that the identification of the accused nabbed by police is done by the victim’s family.
The commission has sought a report in this connection in three days.
In a statement, Dr Raj Kumar Verka, vice-chairman of the commission, said, “The family of the victim girl feels that the accused nabbed by police in this connection are not the real ones. So, it is very important that the identification of the four people arrested by police is done by the family. Since police are yet to do this, we feel there is certainly something wrong.”
We had sent notices to the Moga civil and police administrations and asked them to send action report in three days, Verka added.
