Court awarded imprisonment to drug peddler

The court of additional district and sessions judge, Harpreet Kaur Randhawa on Tuesday awarded six months imprisonment to Deepak Kumar of Chogitti locality.
The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 2000 and in case, he fails to pay fine, he would have to undergo seven days more into prison. Deepak Kumar was arrested by Rama Mandi police after recovery of 100 gm intoxicant powder from his possession on August 7, 2012 during a naka at Chogitti chowk and a case was also registered against him under sections 22, 61 and 85 of NDPS Act.
