Dal Khalsa criticises Rahul's remark

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has observed that his grandmother Indira Gandhi's death was a fallout of politics of hatred, but he "conveniently" skipped mentioning the 1984 anti-Sikh riots that followed Gandhi's assination, radical Sikh outfit Dal Khalsa said on Thursday.

"Rahul conveniently chose not to mention the reasons for the anger, which his family, his government and the Congress continue to ignore to this day," said Dal Khalsa spokesperson Kanwar Pal Singh.

Rahul, while speaking in Rajasthan yesterday, said that politics of hatred leads to anger and resentment. "My grandmother was killed. My father was assassinated and perhaps I may also be killed one day. I am not bothered. I had to tell you what I felt from the heart," Rahul said and vowed to oppose BJP's politics in Churu.

"It is the Congress and BJP that practise the politics of hatred, particularly with the minorities and marginalised sections of society," the Dal Khalsa leader said.
