DIG (prisons) suspends night officer and 2 head wardens
The DIG (prisons) Lakhminder Singh Jakhar has suspended three jail officials for negligence in jailbreak case on Thursday.

The DIG (prisons) Lakhminder Singh Jakhar has suspended three jail officials for negligence in jailbreak case on Thursday.
According to DIG he has suspended Night Officer Sukhdev Singh, Head Warden Ramesh Chander and head Warden Ashok Kumar for negligence. He has been also investigating to find out the alleged collusion between jail officials and prisoners.
He said the precautionary measures have been taken to deter such incidents. Answering a question about staff crunch the DIG said the recruitment process is on to recruit manpower in the department.
