Electronic shop burgled, valuables worth Rs 50 lakh stolen

In yet another incident, burglars ransacked an electronic shop in the Kochar Market area on intervening night of Sunday and Monday and decamped with over 50 laptops, hard disks, computer spare parts, CCTVs.

Shop (IT Zone) owner Rajiv Bansal said, he had locked the shop on Sunday evening and went to attend a marriage. The burglars broke open the window of the shop and burgled. He said he incurred a loss of Rs 50 lakh in the incident.

He came to know about the incident on Monday morning and alerted the police immediately. Dog squad of police couldn't find any clues, and police tried to get finger prints, but they were of no help.
Bansal said the burglars also took the CCTVs installed in the shop.

Sub-inspector Joginder Singh at Division Number 5 police station said the police have initiated the investigation and case has been registered against the unidentified burglars.
