Property worth crore was gutted in a fire that broke out on the premises of Universal Printo Pack Company, situated at an industrial township of Chunari village in Baddi, Wednesday night.

Though, the exact cause of the fire could not be ascertained, but the preliminary investigations suggested that the mishap possibly occurred due to a short circuit in the unit's main painting hall.

By the time the fire tenders from Baddi and Nalagarh succeeded in controlling the blaze, the property was reduced to ashes. It was reported that the fire tenders took about four hours to control the fire.
