A memorandum to this effect has been signed between the PAU and the Indian Institute of Crop Processing Technology, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, in the presence of the union minister, a spokesman here said.

The Centre would cater to the modern needs of peasantry in the area of food processing besides enabling farmers and youth to acquire the necessary skill and training, the spokesman added.
