Heavy rain inundates low-lying areas in Sangrur

All low-lying areas were inundated after heavy rain lashed the city on Friday evening. The city recorded 70mm of rainfall, which lasted for two hours.

Even residences of additional deputy commissioner (general) and the sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) on the Ranbir Club road were flooded and were reported to be under nearly three feet of water. The most affected areas were Sunder Basti, Partap Nagar, Guru Nanak Colony, Ranjit Basti, Hargobindpura Basti and Colony.
