Man arrested for raping 12-year-old niece

The local police arrested a man on the charge of raping his 12-year-old niece. The suspect has been identified as Ram, who was on the run after committing the crime on March 26. The police said Ram was drunk on March 26 night and he raped the victim, when she was alone as her parents had gone to Bihar. AFter victim's parents returned on March 28, she narrated the incident to her parents, who approached the police. The police have registered a case under Section 376 of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
