Man arrested with heroin
As part of their drive against drugs, the local police have arrested a person and recovered 35-gm heroin from his possession. SSP Batala Manminder Singh said that acting on a tip-off, a police team, under sub-inspector Parkash Singh, laid a naka near police lines and during checking, they arrested a person with 35-gm heroin.

SSP Batala Manminder Singh said that acting on a tip-off, a police team, under sub-inspector Parkash Singh, laid a naka near police lines and during checking, they arrested a person with 35-gm heroin.
The accused was identified as Lovekesh Kumar, a resident of Shukarpura locality. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against him at the Civil Lines police station.
