Man murders father, gets killed by brother

It emerged that Karnail Singh (70) was murdered by his son Manjit Singh (42) when the former questioned the latter for trying to take over his brother's farm. Manjit had run a tractor over his father after a heated argument over the dispute, killing him on the spot.

When Karnail's other son Sarwan Singh came to know about the murder, he killed his brother Manjit using a sharp weapon.

The incident left Sarwan and his son Raman Singh injured and they were admitted at a private hospital.

Passiana station house officer Dharamdev Singh said FIR had been registered under section 302 (Punishment for murder) of the IPC. The police are investigating the case.
