This puts a question mark on the future of those who took admissions in the previous academic year of 2011-12.

The private medical college run by a trust was permitted by the MCI to admit 150 students to the graduate medical course last year but the permission was not renewed this year.

The MCI website said, "Not permited for renewal of permission u/s 10(A) for the year 2012-13." Permission for admission or its denial is covered under this section of the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Act, 1993.
