The association's Hisar branch members staged a day-long dharna led by their chairman Dalbir Singh and secretary Yogesh Mittal in front of the offices of Garrison Engineer and Commander Works Engineering (CWE) in Hisar Cantonment and submitted a memorandum to the officers concerned.

Builders also demanded that a clause of reimbursement of price escalation be inserted in all tenders to safeguard their interests in case of losses cause by acute and unprecedented price hikes of raw materials, labour wages and fuel, among other things.

Claiming the department's apathy, the department warned that they would intensify the stir if their demands were not met soon.
