Missing 11-year-old traced to Adampur

An 11-year-old boy who went missing on Thursday afternoon from Birring village was traced to Adampur sub-division of the district on Friday.

An 11-year-old boy who went missing on Thursday afternoon from Birring village was traced to Adampur sub-division of the district on Friday.

The missing boy, Mohit, was studying in Class 4 at a government school in his village.

On Thursday, his one of teachers had asked him to bring his mother to school since the former was angry from him. After leaving school around 1.30 pm, Mohit left his school bag at his house and told his friend Kanhayia that he would not return home.

From there, he somehow reached Adampur and asked a dhaba owner to give him a job, lying to him that his parents had died. On Friday, when the boy started feeling homesick, he told the truth to the dhaba owner that he had left his house on his own and requested him to drop him at his village.

The police teams which were tracing him after receiving a complaint from the boy’s father Ramu, a vegetable vendor. The dhaba owner informed the police. The commisisonerate police were on their tanterhooks after the boy had gone missing. Senior officials had reached the village and started investigating thinking the boy might have been kidnapped.
