ACP (north) J Elanchezhian appreciated the swift and timely action taken by the Division Number 4 police. The ACP handed over the girl to her parents.
The girl, Geeta of Prem Vihar, went missing under mysterious circumstances on Monday afternoon from in front of her house. After unsuccessfully searching for her, her family approached the Division Number 4 police station and filed a missing report.
Inspector Vinod Kumar, SHO, Division Number 4 police station, said the police immediately formed teams to search the missing girl. A team led by ASI Harjit Singh, incharge, Jagatpuri police post, found the girl crying near Gopal Nagar bridge, following which she was handed over to her parents.
Sandeep Kumar, father of the girl, is a hosiery worker. He was at work when his wife told him that their daughter had gone missing. He immediately rushed home and started searching her, but to no avail. Finally, he informed the police.
