Namdharis hold hunger strike to pray for unity in the sect

To put an end to the on-going conflict in the Guru parivaar of Namdhari sect, the followers observed hunger strike on Wednesday. Hundreds of people from the Namdhari community, gathered in front of district administrative complex and observed an hunger strike from 9am to 1pm.

International Namdhari Sangat district president Palvinder Singh said that the motive of this hunger strike was to bring unity between the Namdhari sect and the Guru Parivaar.

"This peaceful unity is being dubbed as a succession row by some anti-unity elements, which is a baseless allegation. Thakur Dalip Singh ji has no ambition of attaining any position in Namdhari Sect or any intention of grabbing any property or money in any form," he said.

This hunger strike has proved that the Namdhari sect supported the peaceful ways and means followed by thakur Dalip Singh ji and has clearly rejected divisive polices adopted by Sri Bhaini Sahib management, he added.
