The deceased has been identified as Nisha. Her husband Bunty (21) said he was sleeping on the first floor of the house in the afternoon when she hanged herself from a ceiling fan on the ground floor by using her dupatta
Bunty, who works as a disc jockey (DJ), claimed that when he went to sleep, his wife was cleaning the house. When he came downstairs, he found his wife hanging, he said.
He immediately informed the police following which the victim was rushed to the Government Multi -specialty Hospital (GMSH), Sector 16, where she was declared brought dead.
The couple had married seven months ago.
The parents of the deceased said that the couple was happily married. Sources said that the couple was planning to buy a new house.
