No fee hike for Panjab University colleges

The committee constituted to implement Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in all affiliated colleges of Panjab University (PU) has decided not to hike tuition fee and other fees in colleges.
Prof Arun Kumar Grover, vice chancellor, Panjab University had presided over the meeting of core committee on Saturday. During the meeting, it was decided that the tuition fee and all other funds for the academic session 2017-18 for all the undergraduate and post graduate courses of all affiliated colleges will not be increased. It was informed that the fee structure of 2016-17 will remain operative. Dean of colleges will be issuing a circular to all the affiliated colleges.

Two sub committees have been formed to finalise the modalities for the implementation of CBCS to finally look into the rules and regulations, structure of the subjects, evaluation.
Deans of all faculties, dean of university instructions, and members of senate, syndicate attended the meeting.
