Stating that strict action would be taken against conductors not abiding by these instructions, Kamboj wrote a letter to additional chief secretary, transport department, and directed to inform general managers of the department in all districts regarding these instructions.
He said complaints were also being received regarding bus drivers stopping their buses at private restaurants and hotels where the passengers had to eat what was being offered.
The transport department had directed the bus drivers to stop their buses at government-run tourist complexes only. Besides this, passengers and conductors smoking on moving bus would be strictly dealt with, he added.
