One killed, four injured in bus-canter collision in Nakodar

One person was killed and four injured in a collision between a PRTC bus and canter at Sarinh village bus stand on the Nakodar-Jandiala road on Thursday morning.

One person was killed and four injured in a collision between a PRTC bus and canter at Sarinh village bus stand on the Nakodar-Jandiala road on Thursday morning.

The deceased, who was driving the canter, has been identified as Gopal-a resident of Haryana, said Nakodar Sadar station house officer Davindar Singh.

Meanwhile, the injured have been identified as Gurmit Singh of Gumtali village in Phillaur, Sant Gian Singh of Sangowal village in Phillaur and two bus passengers Baljit Kaur of Tut Kalan village and Harpreet Kaur of Haripur village.

The bus was bound to Phagwara when the accident occurred.

The injured were rushed to Nakodar civil hospital from where two were referred to Jalandhar and Ludhiana hospitals.
