PPSC chairman Lt Gen RS Sujlana (retd) and members Dalbir Singh Mahala and Amita Pandove are the officials, who have opted out from the process of conducting the PCS examination. The PCS preliminary examination will be conducted between November and December.
Soruces said the trio themselves had disclosed that their children were appearing in the exam. The members of the commission are involved in the setting of the examination papers, finalising centres, issuing roll numbers, checking of answersheets and preparation of results.
As the chairman has opted out, now Anil Sareen would head the examination committee. Two PPSC members had earlier rescued themselves from the examination process on similar grounds.
Apart from that, sources said the PPSC was contemplating to conduct the preliminary examination at Chandigarh, as it was finding it difficult to locate a place to accommodate nearly 45,000 aspirants.
Contacted, PPSC secretary (examination) APS Virk confirmed the news.
