Pradeep Agarwal is new MC chief

Pradeep Kumar Agarwal is the new municipal corporation commissioner of Ludhiana. Earlier Dr Basant Garg was transferred to Ludhiana as MC commissioner on May 28, while Agarwal was under transfer as deputy commissioner of Bathinda.

Now, Dr Garg would take over as Bathinda's deputy commissioner. Agarwal has also served on posts of deputy commissioner of Rupnagar and additional deputy commissioner in Ludhiana.

Agarwal is a 2006-batch Indian Administrative Service officer. The order of transfer was issued on Friday by the Punjab chief secretary. It is pertinent to mention here that Dr Garg was transferred in place of IAS officer Shruti Singh, who had applied for long leave.
