Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a joint rally of the BJP-PDP at Srinagar on Nov 7. He is likely to make major announcements for the state at the rally.
The chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has asked the party cadre to work hard in making the rally a success. The PM was earlier scheduled to visit the state on Nov 5.
It will be first joint rally of the two coalition partners to be addressed by the PM after formation of government on March 1.
Modi’s visit comes in the backdrop of the incidents at Dadri and Udhampur, which are being perceived as an attack on the minority community. J&K is the only Muslim majority state in the country with the Kashmir region having miniscule population of Hindus and Sikhs.
