'Problem of judicial complexes in state still lingering'

The Punjab and Haryana high court on Friday said that the problem of judicial complexes in the state was lingering on in spite of directions from the court. Chief justice AK Sikri and justice RK Jain passed the comment, when the case of a judicial complex in Punjab came up for hearing before the bench.

The Punjab and Haryana high court on Friday said that the problem of judicial complexes in the state was lingering on in spite of directions from the court. Chief justice AK Sikri and justice RK Jain passed the comment, when the case of a judicial complex in Punjab came up for hearing before the bench.

The Punjab government submitted a status report with regard to the construction of judicial complexes in the state and details of land acquired and where land is yet to be acquired for judicial complexes.

The state did not submit any reply in connection with release of funds for Punjab State Legal Services Authority. The society had moved an application on February 15 in the high court to release funds.The court was hearing a civil writ petition for the construction of a judicial complex at Nakodar. The case comes up for further hearing on May 1.
