Bhattal said Badal should have taken up the cash credit limit (CCL) issue with the Prime Minister two months ago. “Surprisingly, the CM is meeting the PM in the midst of procurement. This shows how seriously this government takes its farmers. Field reports suggest farmers won’t wait for long. The matter should be resolved in a week to avoid unrest,” she said.

Bhattal said the delay in releasing the CCL by the Centre smacks of a political conspiracy as with the “bleak SAD prospects” in the next assembly election, the BJP is weighing its options whether to continue with the SAD or go it alone.
