Rains lash Chandigarh, Panchkula and Mohali; temperature dips

Moderate rains lashed the tricity on Friday morning, bringing down the temperature. In the last 24 hours, till 8:30 am on Friday, there had been 3.4 mm of rain in Chandigarh and adjoining areas.

Moderate rains lashed the tricity on Friday morning, bringing down the temperature. In the last 24 hours, till 8:30 am on Friday, there had been 3.4 mm of rain in Chandigarh and adjoining areas.

The Meteorological Department has predicted rains throughout the day and also on Saturday.

Morning temperature has been seeing a decline since Tuesday. While the maximum temperature was 27.2 degree Celsiuson Tuesday, it dipped to 23 degrees on Thursday.

The night temperature went down to 12.2 degree Celsius , which is normal. The night temperature on Thursday was almost 2 degrees less than that of Wednesday.

The maximum temperature during the day will continue to dip over the next few days, however, the night temperature will increase by a couple of notches. From March 12, the maximum temperature is set to rise.
