Out of the nine assembly segments in Ferozepur, SAD(B) and Congress shared four seats equally and one is with BJP. The caste factor had played an important role in the last parliamentary polls. It is perhaps due to this factor that SAD (B) has gone in favour of Gubaya, a Rai Sikh. The community has more than 2.30 lakh voters.

SAD(B) has been won the seat four times in a row and hopes to retain it for the fifth time.

Meanwhile, Congress leadership is busy holding meetings

To select a candidate.
