A mini-bus carrying school children of Guru Amar Das senior secondary school Uchha, overturned on Thursday due to negligent driving by the bus-driver resulting in minor injuries to children.

"The driver lost his control over the bus while trying to avoid collision with a car. The bus overturned in the fields and caused minor injuries to the children," said SHO Bhupinder Singh, Fattu Dhinga.

All the children were sent to their homes along with their parents after providing first-aid on the spot.

A case for negligent driving has been registered under sections 279 and 337 of Indian Penal Code against the bus driver Charanjeet Singh, a resident of Bidhi Chand Colony, Goindwal Sahib," said Singh, adding that, "he was later released on the bail."
