Science City awarded National Energy Conservation Award
Pushpa Gujral Science City was awarded the second prize (general category) in the National Energy Conservation Award-2013 function held at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, on Monday.

The award was received by director general RS Khandpur from President Pranab Mukherjee in the presence of minister of power Jyotiraditya Scindia.
The Science City has received the award in recognition of its achievement to reduce the energy consumption while enhancing its performance with improved energy efficiency. The annual saving achieved is of Rs12 lakh. The energy audit was done by the consultancy group of Punjab State Council for Science and Technology and their recommendations were implemented by the Science City.
Besides, the Science City has also set up a 100 KW solar power station on the campus with the technical advice of Punjab Energy Development Agency.
