Tall idol of Lord Krishna to beset up in Kurukshetra: CM
Haryana chief minister M L Khattar on Tuesday said that a tall idol of Lord Krishna would be set up at a cost of `8 crore at Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra.Updated: Jan 13, 2015 20:36 IST
The central government would contribute `1 crore whereas the remaining `7 crore would be spent by the state government, said Khattar who presided over a review meeting of tourism department here.
He also directed officials to construct Adibadri Ghat and Kapal Mochan in district Yamunanagar and also to explore the possibilities of setting up a holographic-3D project on Mahabharta at Kurukshetra.
Stating that Karan Tal at Kurukshetra and its nearby areas would be developed under the second phase of circuit tourism. Khattar said all visitors staying in circuit houses would be provided with complete information of all important places of the area so that they did not face any difficulty while visiting tourist places.
He directed the officials not to provide free stay and dining facility to anyone in various tourist places running under the tourism corporation. He also instructed them to make efforts to enhance credibility of tourist spots with lodging facility so as to create a sense of safety and security among people.
