Thief vandalizes ATM after fail to loot

In an unsuccessful attempt, unknown thief tried to loot an automated teller machine (ATM) of Punjab National Bank in Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar locality situated at GT road on intervening night on Monday and Wednesday.

In an unsuccessful attempt, unknown thief tried to loot an automated teller machine (ATM) of Punjab National Bank in Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar locality situated at GT road on intervening night on Monday and Wednesday.

After failing to loot ATM, they vandalized ATM and fled away from the spot.

However, whole episode of the thief was caught up into CCTV cameras and cops are trying to identify him after analyzing footages.

The cops said that the accused entered into ATM and started dismantling with the help of Iron rods.

The cops also called up bank officials at the spot.

Police station- 2, SHO Balwinder Singh said that we are carrying out further investigation in the case and CCTV footages have been gathered. He hoped that police would soon arrest him.

A complaint has been lodged with police and a case has been registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code.
