Two held for murder of Faridkot youth
The Kotkapura police, on Saturday, claimed to have arrested two of the four accused in the murder of Gurpreet Singh, 21, from Mai Godri sahib locality of the town.

The Kotkapura police, on Saturday, claimed to have arrested two of the four accused in the murder of Gurpreet Singh, 21, from Mai Godri sahib locality of the town. Vinodi and Dharma have been arrested by the police, while Kulwant Singh, an employee of the Punjab police from Faridkot, and his daughter, who were also booked under section 302 of IPC(murder) are yet to be arrested.
The body of Gurpreet Singh was found on Friday from the Rajasthan canal near Phidde village on the third day after he had gone missing from home.
The case is suspected to be an honour killing. The police had booked Vinodi, Dharma alias Sema, Kulwant Singh and his daughter for murder on the complaint of Harpreet Singh, brother of the deceased.
