UCPMA delegation in a memorandum submitted to Gill raised problems, including industrial security, traffic problems and many other.

The delegation demanded to increase the night patrolling in the industrial area to put a check on the incidents of thefts and snatchings because labourers were falling prey to such incidents, particularly during the days when salaries were disbursed among them.

UCPMA president Gurmit Singh Kular said Gill had assured of organising 'industrial seminar' on these issues and strengthening patrolling system in the indusial area. Kular said, "The delegation apprised Gill of the traffic problem being faced at chowks, such as Giaspura Chowk, Dholewal Chowk and on Grand Truck Road."
