Urn containing Bal Thackeray's ashes taken to Ludhiana

The urn containing the ashes of late Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, which reached in Patiala on Wednesday night from Mumbai via Chandigarh, was taken to Ludhiana, party officials said.

The urn containing the ashes of late Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray, which reached in Patiala on Wednesday night from Mumbai via Chandigarh, was taken to Ludhiana, party officials said.

The urn was kept here at Sat Narayan Mandir and taken to Ludhiana from where it would be taken to Haridwar for immersion, said Ashutosh Gautam, local Sena leader.

Many Shiv Sena leaders accompanied the urn as it was decked up in a truck and the procession was taken out in the markets of Patiala.
