While addressing an election meeting at Nikku Nangal village near Nangal on Friday evening, Virbhadra claimed that Soni was a senior and seasoned leader of the Congress, who had done lot of work for the development of the Anandpur Sahib constituency and the Nangal area as a union minister and Rajya Sabha member. He added that the Congress was responsible for the development of the country in every field, while the Shiromani Akali Dal and Bharatiya Janata Party-led government in Punjab had “ruined” the state.

The CM assured the residents of Nangal that their Himachal-related work would be done “on priority”.

Industries minister Mukesh Agnihortri and former MLA Rana KP Singh also spoke on the occasion.
