Victim Jasbir Kaur of Diwaniwal village in the Civil Lines police jurisdiction was on way to the local bus stand on her scooter when the snatching happened near Baring Union Christian College. The motorcycle, which had no registration number plate, came from behind. The snatchers fled towards the bus stand and Jasbir Kaur tried to chase them in vain. The town is in a spate of snatchings, thefts, and robberies.
